Broadband Transfer Procedure
- Do not cancel your current Broadband service.
- View our current Broadband1 or Broadband2+ plans
- Signup through the Online Signup or fill out the Broadband Application Form
- Westnet will then transfer your Broadband service.
- Once notified of the Broadband completion by Westnet, please contact your previous ISP to advise of the change.

Terms of the Transfer
You must complete a Westnet Broadband1 application form, in addition to the Broadband transfer authorisation form. Alternatively, to transfer your Broadband2+ service to Westnet, please contact Sales on 13 19 60. The Westnet Broadband1 application form contains all the Westnet Broadband terms and conditions;
Westnet will supply your Broadband service from the date the transfer takes effect (you will be notified when the transfer occurs);
You must pay Westnet for all charges associated with the Broadband service from the date this transfer takes effect;
You will still be responsible to your current broadband internet service provider for any charges incurred and/or billed up to the date the transfer takes effect;
Westnet has the right to refuse or cancel your service on the basis of its credit assessment of you;
Once you have transferred to Westnet, the product features that you receive are limited to your new Westnet account only. Any broadband account features, including discounts, from your previous provider will no longer apply;
You authorise Westnet to act on your behalf to transfer your Broadband service;
You will be responsible for any re-configuration of your network or Broadband ADSL hardware which is required to facilitate your change of provider. Please contact Support for technical information;
Westnet will endeavor to provide technical support for all Broadband ADSL modems. However, you may have varying levels of expertise with different modem types;
Your broadband service will remain active with your current broadband internet service provider until the transfer takes place;
You will need to contact your current provider about any faults with your broadband service until this transfer takes place; and
You may experience an outage in your broadband ADSL service of up to 4 hours whilst the transfer takes place.
If you cancel your Broadband1 service or wish to relocate the service to another phone line within the first 6 months of connection, you will incur a $55 early cancellation fee.
If you cancel your Broadband2+ service within the first 12 months a $165 pro-rata cancellation fee applies. If you wish to relocate a $55 Change of Address fee applies and your 12 month commitment will recommence.
If you connect using the Broadband1 Transfer process and enter into a 12 month Westnet Service Contract and subsequently seek to relocate an existing Service to a new line, a connection fee on the new line and the following cancellation fees shall be incurred:
- cancellation within initial 6 months: $105; and
- cancellation after the first 6 months: $50.
