Free set-up offer terms and conditions
Customers must meet the eligibility criteria set by the Australian Government's Australian Broadband Guarantee. Offer is available on a 12-month contract.
If the service is moved, transferred or cancelled within this period a $120 pro-rate fee will apply. For any service moved, additional costs will also be charged. Free set-up applies to standard installation which involves a single storey, 84cm satellite dish roof mount.
6 months half-price offer terms and conditions
Offer provides a 50% discount on the monthly fee (bundled/non-bundled) for the first 6 months. Discount does not apply to excess usage charges. Offer applicable to new Westnet Satellite installations only. 6 months half-price offer available to new applications received before 31 July 2009.
Westnet's General and Satellite Broadband terms and conditions also apply.
Maximum browsing and download speeds for Satellite Broadband are dependent on the number of users using the service within the network at any one time, performance of the satellite system, weather conditions (locally and at the station) and applications being used. Customers may find certain applications will not run as effectively on a Satellite Broadband service, when compared with an ADSL broadband service. This is largely due to the typical latency differences between the two service types.

Westnet's Australian Broadband Guarantee Offer
Westnet, with support from the Australian Government's Australian Broadband Guarantee, aims to help communities not currently served by metro-comparable broadband to get fast internet. If eligible under the Australian Broadband Guarantee, connection is free and easy - so now is definitely the time to get the high speed internet you deserve, no matter where you live.
This offer is available to customers who are eligible under the Australian Broadband Guarantee and who sign up to a Satellite Broadband plan with Westnet for a minimum of 12 months.
The offer provides a 50% discount off the agreed monthly plan fee (bundled or non-bundled) for the first six months of the plan. This discount will not apply to excess usage charges. Cancellation or transfer of the service/s (Phone and Satellite Broadband bundle where applicable) to another provider within the first 12 months is subject to an early cancellation fee of $120 charged pro-rata.
Service cancellations take effect on the first day of the next calendar month following Westnet's receipt of cancellation request. Westnet's General and Satellite Broadband Terms and Conditions also apply to this promotion.
